Former football player charged with drug crimes

A former running back for a state football team is in hot water following his arrest by local authorities for suspected drug-related activity. The man and a friend have been charged with drug crimes by Arkansas police after an executed search warrant allegedly uncovered incriminating evidence of drug use. If convicted, both individuals could face jail time. 

Violent crimes: Man in Arkansas accused of homicide

A man accused of murdering his wife and their unborn child has been charged, according to local authorities. Arkansas police have apprehended the 40-year-old Newport man, who stands accused of the Nov. 2017 murder that also resulted in the death of the fetus. He was charged on Jan. 18 and was set to make his first court appearance the following day to face the accusations of violent crimes.

Violent crimes: 2 Arkansas women face attempted murder charges

Two women in Little Rock have been charged with attempted capital murder following an alleged attack on New Year's Day. Police in Sherwood, Arkansas, arrested the two women, and they are now being held at Pulaski County Jail in advance of a trial date. As with most violent crimes, this incident is being thoroughly investigated by local police.

Violent crimes: Man accused of murder in Arkansas

Police have arrested a man in Monticello following an attack they believe killed a local woman. Arkansas authorities apprehended the 28-year-old man, who now faces a charge of first-degree murder in the death of a 32-year-old female Monticello resident. As with most suspected violent crimes, the body has been remanded to the medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death in advance of criminal court proceedings. 

Violent crimes: Woman hospitalized after shooting

A woman has been rushed to a local hospital after shots were fired in Garland County, according to authorities. Arkansas police who deal regularly with violent crimes of this type responded to the call in the early morning of Dec. 29. So far, three people have been arrested in conjunction with the alleged attack, but the investigation is still ongoing as of this report.
