Former Arkansas chief faces charges for alleged drug crimes

A former police chief from northwest Arkansas has been arrested, according to local sources. The ex law enforcement officer was arrested by Arkansas police on Dec. 13 after being accused of drug crimes, including possession. The one-time chief was released on bail the same afternoon, but is working with his attorney to prepare for upcoming court proceedings.

A search of a home in central Arkansas has resulted in an arrest. Arkansas authorities have reported that some 10 pounds of what is believed to be marijuana was found in a residence in Pine Bluff. The homeowner was arrested and charged with drug crimes, but there is no word on whether he has retained criminal defense counsel at this time.

Authorities in Pine Bluff say they executed a search warrant that led to the confiscation of considerable drugs. The search was conducted on a home in central Arkansas and has led to the arrest of one individual for suspected drug crimes. That individual is currently in police custody at a county jail, awaiting trial, for which no date has been made public.

A man from Malvern who was pulled over for speeding has been arrested, according to state police. The Arkansas State Police have charged the man with multiple drug crimes after finding what they say was a significant amount of marijuana as well as a handgun. If he is found guilty, he could face years in prison -- possibly even a life sentence.

Over 1,200 arrested for drug crimes in Arkansas

Over 200 law enforcement officers and professionals joined forces to launch a major sting operation against alleged drug dealers across the state, according to local sources. The operation, code named Task Force Arkansas, was meant to target drug crimes perpetrated by alleged dealer rings from Little Rock to Fayetteville. The operation has resulted in over 1,200 arrests.

Arkansas man charged with drug crimes

An alleged drug dealer is back in police custody after a raid of his home, according to local sources. Arkansas police suspected the man, who was currently on parole for a separate charge, of drug crimes. He now faces several new charges, including possession of a firearm and several drug-related offenses. No court date has been announced at this time.

6 Arkansas residents face charges for drug crimes

Six men in Texarkana have been indicted for their suspected role in a drug distribution ring, according to court representatives. Federal authorities in Arkansas have issued six separate indictments for the accused men who are believed to have distributed methamphetamine in the Texarkana area. Federal criminal law takes a harsh stance on drug crimes, and if the individuals are found guilty, each man could face serious jail time.

Raids lead to arrests for alleged drug crimes

Police in Texarkana launched four separate raids into three residential homes and a business, according to law enforcement. Arkansas State Police worked with local county and town sheriff's departments, as well as the FBI, to crack down on drug activity. Four people were arrested and charged with drug crimes as a result of the operation. All four have been remanded to a county jail to await trial.

Arkansas men accused of drug crimes

Three men have been indicted as part of an ongoing investigation into a suspected drug ring, according to federal and local sources. The men were arrested in Osceola, Arkansas, and are now facing federal gun and drug charges. They are among 70 people charged with drug crimes -- over 40 federal indictments -- as part of the operation. If they are found guilty, they could face years in prison.
